The purpose of this research is to provide participants with the ability to report their symptoms, have a clinical team to check on them, answer questions for them. All participants will receive texts with IBD education and will complete 5 online questionnaires over 12 months. Some participants will be asked to answer more frequent surveys and communicate IBD symptoms with their care team via text message. No additional office visits, procedures or other tests will be required for this study. You will receive up to $60 in gift cards for participating.

Exclusion Criteria
  • Age 18 or older
  • ​Have had an appointment with University of Pennslyvania Hospitals within the past year
  • Have access to a mobile phobe
• Have not had a colectomy or ileostomy
• Have a J-pouch
• Is not a patient at any Penn Medicine locations
• Do not have access to a mobile phone
